Nation remembers Mahatma Gandhi on his 74th death anniversary
The nation is paying homage to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 74th death anniversary. The day is also observed as Martyrs’ Day. Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated on this day in 1948.
President Ram Nath Kovind laid a wreath at the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat in the national capital.

Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled a grand wall mural of Mahatma Gandhi made from 2,975 clay kulhads (earthen cups) at Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad on the 74th death anniversary of ‘Father of the Nation’.
The event, which marked the 74th Martyrs’ Day, was also attended by Union MSME Minister Narayan Rane and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

Nation celebrates 73rd Republic Day; India flaunts Military might on display at Rajpath
The Nation is celebrating 73rd Republic Day on 26th Jan. The main function is being held at Rajpath in the National Capital where President Ram Nath Kovind took the salute of the parade presented by Ceremonial Battery of 871 Field Regiment.
National Tourism Day is being celebrated. The day is observed on the 25th of January every year to celebrate the diversity of the country.
The theme for this year is Rural and Community Centric Tourism. The Ministry of Tourism is observing this day under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
PM Modi unveils hologram statue of Netaji , says move ahead taking inspiration from Netaji Subhash’s ‘Can Do, Will Do’ spirit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a hologram statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate in New Delhi. This hologram will be in place till the work of the granite statue of Netaji is completed.
The statue will be unveiled in the same place to mark the year-long celebration of the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
