SSC Exam Selection Process
SSC Exam Selection Process conducts various examinations every year for recruitment to different posts in various departments of the government of India and its subordinate offices. The eligibility criteria and selection procedure for different posts could be different. Let’s take a look at recruitment and selection procedure for some notable posts.
SSC Combined Graduate Level CGL Exam – Graduates from any recognized university in India can apply for this exam. The selection procedure includes written examination (Tier I and Tier II), followed by interview/skill test/ computer proficiency test, and document verification.
Data Entry Operator (DEO) Examination – The candidate must pass 10+2 or its equivalent exam and should possess a specific data entry speed. The selection is done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in objective-type written examination, followed by a skill test.
Junior Translators (CSOLS) Examination – To apply for this exam, the applicant must clear 10+2 or its equivalent exam. The selection process consists of written examination and interview.
Stenographer Exam – One needs to pass 10+2 or its equivalent exam to appear for this exam. The procedure of selection includes mainly two phases – a written test and a skill test in stenography.
Lower Division Clerk Exam – Minimum qualification required for the exam is 10+2 or its equivalent. One needs to clear a written test with objective type questions and a computer-based typing test to get selected for this post.
Sub Inspector in CPOs, CAPFs, and Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF Examination – The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and should have a valid driving license. The selection procedure includes written test, physical efficiency test, followed by personality test and medical examination.
